Volunteer with Metro North ABE
Our volunteers play a vital role at Metro North Adult Basic Education (ABE). They motivate, inspire, and mentor learners by encouraging them to achieve their fullest potential. Volunteers are needed to serve as:
- ABE classroom aide
- ESL classroom aide
- Reading tutor
- Math tutor
- Writing tutor
- STAR reading program tutor
- Computer lab assistant
- Office support
- Instructor/co-instructor
- New student intake/assessment aide
Volunteers assist teachers in the classroom, provide learners with additional support, create a welcoming environment, and work with staff to complete essential projects. Volunteer services staff and teachers provide volunteer orientation, training, and ongoing support.
