• About Metro North Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Metro North ABE is a partnership between eight school districts and other community partners in the north metro. Together, we offer free classes to develop basic skills for adults ages 17 and up who are not enrolled in a high school program. Metro North ABE is part of a state-wide network overseen by the Minnesota Department of Education and is funded with both federal and state funds.

    Classes offered can help students:
    • Improve basic reading, writing and math skills
    • Earn a high school diploma or GED
    • Learn and improve English language
    • Prepare for college or a career
