Blaine Learning Lab

The Blaine Learning Lab site is located in the Human Service Center of Anoka County on the third floor.  If you are interested in becoming an ABE or ESL student, please fill out the class interest form to begin the enrollment process.  All classes require in-person assessment testing before starting.

ABE classes

GED, Minnesota Standard Adult Diploma, brush up on reading, writing, math, college/Accuplacer preparation

  • Online classes
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    • Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • In-person classes 
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Independent online program with teacher support available


English as a Second Language (ESL) classes

Reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills

  • Online classes 
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    • Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • In-person classes 
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
