U.S. CITIZENSHIP

Classes: Throughout the year Metro North ABE offers Citizenship Classes to current Metro North ABE student attending ESL or ABE classes

  • Get information about becoming a U.S. citizen
  • Learn U.S. History and Government
  • Practice for the citizenship interview

Metro North ABE has received a grant as part of a collaborative project with MidMinnesota Legal Aid (provides naturalization preparation legal assistance) to provide free citizenship classes for anyone that qualifies. 

To qualify you must:

  • Be in the process of getting your citizenship
  • Be a legal permanent resident
  • Provide documentation of your eligibility

Classes starting soon at 3 locations:

Anoka Technical College, 1355 West Highway 10, Anoka

  • July 13-August 12, 2015
  • Monday and Wednesday, 9:00AM-12:00PM
  • Call 763-783-4870 to sign up for class
  • Must bring your permanent resident card with you to the first day of class

Brookdale Library, Brooklyn Center

  • Saturdays, August-October, time to be determined
  • Check back in mid-June for registration information

Blaine Learning Lab, Blaine

  • Starting in September, dates and times to be determined
  • Check back in July for updated information
